Memorial Park

LOCATION: Riverside Area, Jacksonville, Florida
PROJECT OVERVIEW: The post card shows the park as it was during the original creation in the 1920’s. The bronze remains in place; however, the eagles are not in the park today. The balustrades have been damaged over the years due to being pummeled by hurricane force waves and at times, a wayward sea vessel. The City of Jacksonville and the Memorial Park Association have utilized are services to recreate missing balustrade elements as necessary. and to restore the original balustrade where the eagles were once perched.
